Sharon Riley Seeking District 3 Nomination

Community volunteer and Montague resident,  Sharon Riley, is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination in District 3 - Montague Kilmuir on Tuesday, March 5th at the Kaylee Hall.
Riley has served her community in many ways over the past 30 years holding various positions with the
Montague Rotary Club, Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce, Kings Playhouse, and the Atlantic Community Newspapers Association. Also a member of the PEI Business Women's Association,  Riley was instrumental in bringing the successful Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to the Montague area  and has volunteered with the Kings County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, local Figure Skating Club and is Co-Chair of the successful Rotary Gold Mine Draw.
Ms. Riley is a strong supporter of entrepreneurship and has lived in eastern PEI with her partner, three children and three grandchildren. Mr. Riley has been employed for over three decades in advertising and sales.
Having volunteered with many local associations at a hands-on,  grassroots level, Riley understands the financial difficulties Islanders face on a daily basis.
“We need to put all Islanders on a level playing field when it comes to receiving the basic necessities of food, heat, lights and shelter. We have residents in our area who can’t afford the gas in their cars to drive to Cancer treatments in Charlottetown. As a province we can and we need to do better.”
