Natalie Jameson to seek re-election in Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park

Charlottetown, PE - Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park MLA Natalie Jameson is seeking re-election for District 9, Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park, in the next provincial election.

“Over the last few years, we’ve been able to get a lot of positive things done for our district and to improve the quality of life for Islanders. I’m excited to build on those accomplishments as part of a new Dennis King PC Government,” says Jameson.

Among the district accomplishments Jameson is proud of are the transportation upgrades through East Royalty, protection of a 100-metre buffer zone along Wright’s Creek, development of active transportation trails, expansion of L.M. Montgomery School, new affordable and seniors housing projects, and construction of the new Mental Health Campus now underway.

First elected in 2019, Jameson has served as a member of the Special Committee on Poverty in PEI; the Special Committee on Climate Change; and the Cabinet Committee on Policy and Priorities. Jameson has previously served as Minister of Environment, Water and Climate Change and as Minister responsible for Charlottetown. Currently Jameson serves as Minister of Education and Lifelong Learning, as Minister responsible for the Status of Women, and sits on the Treasury Board.

“I’m particularly proud of the work that we have done to improve quality, access and affordability of child care, our universal school food program and free school supplies for K-9 students, and strengthening women’s health services. There’s more progress for us to make as a district and a province and I’m eager to do my part as part of a new Dennis King PC government,” says Natalie.

A graduate of both Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island, Natalie and her husband Dennis are the proud parents of William and Henry and live in Hillsborough Park.
