Kristi MacKay to seek PC nomination in Charlottetown-West Royalty

Charlottetown, PE - West Royalty resident and entrepreneur Kristi MacKay today announced that she is seeking the nomination for District 14, Charlottetown-West Royalty, in the next provincial election.

“I’ve been impressed by Premier Dennis King’s collaborative leadership style and I think my blend of youth, work and life experience will allow me to make a positive contribution as the MLA for Charlottetown-West Royalty in a new Dennis King PC government,” says MacKay.

A graduate of the Atlantic Police Academy, MacKay worked as a member of the Charlottetown Police Services as a School Resource Officer before embracing entrepreneurship, operating small businesses in Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.

Kristi has volunteered in her community as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, as a coach with minor hockey and soccer, and as a volunteer with Special Olympics PEI serving as Chair of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee. MacKay has been recognized for her community service as a Covid Warrior Coin and Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal recipient.

“I’m no stranger to taking on non-traditional roles, whether serving as a peace officer or running a small business during a pandemic so I bring a different set of eyes to challenges. I am up to those challenges and I feel that I have the skills to be an effective voice for Charlottetown-West Royalty in a new Dennis King PC government,” says MacKay.

Kristi lives in West Royalty.
