David Gordon to seek PC nomination in Alberton-Bloomfield

Alberton Mayor David Gordon is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination in District 26 Alberton-Bloomfield.

"I’m running because it feels like the gate has been shut to the people of West Prince by this government. I’m not willing to see our health care and school services reduced any more than they have been. People are tired of being not listened to and I’ll make sure that our voice is heard," says Gordon.

Gordon sees uncertainty over the future of health services at Western Hospital as the most important issue facing the district.

"With the removal of local boards for schools and hospitals our local voice has been drowned out when decisions are made in Charlottetown about these vital services. We want to keep what we have but that won’t happen if our elected officials are only worried about keeping their jobs,” says Gordon.

A small businessman, Gordon has owned and operated a transportation charter business, Gordon Tours, in the West Prince region for close to two decades. Gordon is currently serving as the Mayor of Alberton.

The PC nomination for District 26 Alberton-Bloomfield will be held on March 25th at the Mill River Resort beginning at 6:00 p.m.
