Progressive Conservative Party of PEI to begin district nominations

Belfast – The Progressive Conservative party of Prince Edward Island today announced their first district nomination for the next general election. A nominating convention for District 4, Belfast-Murray River, will be held on Wednesday, April 25th. 

“There is a great deal of excitement within our grassroots and our volunteers, as we begin nomination of outstanding community leaders to our PC team under Leader James Aylward,” said Progressive Conservative party President Charles Blue. “There is a lot of interest being shown by Islanders from all walks of life and from all districts across the province to seek local PC nominations.”

PC MLA Darlene Compton represents the electoral district of Belfast-Murray River and is re-offering once again. The nominating convention will be held on Wednesday, April 25th at the Belfast Rec Centre. Registration will begin at 7:30 p.m. with call to order at 8:00 p.m. PC Leader James Aylward will be the guest speaker.

Party President Charles Blue stated that a number of other local PC ridings are finalizing dates for their nominating conventions and these will be announced in the coming days.
